Exciting News for Valley Village!
In the fall of 2025, Valley Village received a generous grant from the Fanny Holt Ames and Edna Louise Holt Fund, allowing us to purchase a wheelchair-accessible Chrysler Voyager minivan to support resident transportation. This new van is already making a meaningful difference, providing safe and reliable rides to medical appointments at Grace Cottage as well as local errands.
The timing of this gift could not have been better. Just as we learned the grant had been awarded, our insurance provider announced that staff could no longer transport residents in their personal vehicles. Without this grant, Valley Village would have been left scrambling to find a solution. Instead, thanks to this timely support, we were able to move forward with confidence.
Our staff were immediately trained on the van’s operation, and it was quickly put into service. We are incredibly grateful for this funding, which ensures continued access, safety, and independence for our residents and keeps Valley Village moving forward.
